Separately, a robust market exists on messaging services, where groups with numerous of members share “before and after” photos, injection guides and claims of rapid British shipping. Vendors promote the drug there before directing buyers to WhatsApp for purchases.

Retatrutide is an investigational injection developed by American pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly. The drug targets three gut hormones – GLP-1, glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide and glucagon. Preliminary studies suggest it could assist patients lose up to 25% of their total weight. Referred to as the “triple G”, the substance is being hailed digitally as the successor to Ozempic.
